Had a fantastic stay! Spacious room with breathtaking river views and super cozy beds. Loved the locally sourced breakfast and chatting with Karen and David. Just a heads-up, the steep driveway might be a bit tricky for some.

this place could have been nice, but the driveway is just absurd, steep and quite the challenge. Plus, I barely had any phone service—what am I supposed to do, unplug? I really expected a complimentary gesture for my troubles, but apparently that’s too much to ask. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

Stunning estuary views, access to 12 acres of grounds, unique off-grid living experience
Steep access can be quite a workout!!! Limited phone service and inconsistent WiFi connectivity made it difficult to stay in touch or plan activities without extensive preparation. The driveway could certainly use better instructions for newcomers!!!

I loved my stay here as the hosts were friendly and my room had a lovely view of the river and hills. It's just a short walk of about 1.5 km to Penpol Creek and almost 3 km to Fowey Aquarium, making it easy to enjoy both the local scenery and charming cafes along the way.
